When authorities in Denmark and abroad need a translation, it typically needs to be either a certified translation or with an apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Diction can help with both legalizing certified and certified translations.
Diction can help with translation into most languages
Diction can help with translation into most languages in the world. For translations that need to be valid in Denmark or other countries, Danish or English must be part of the language combination. If you need a certified translation, the documents must either already be in Danish or translated into Danish. This means that we cannot translate a document from a foreign language to another foreign language if the translation is to be authorized with a signature and stamp.
Authorized translation means that your document has been translated by an authorized translator who stamps and signs the translation. An authorized translation can also be legalized with an endorsement from the Confederation of Danish Industry or a notary and finally an apostille stamp from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
If you are unsure whether you need an authorized or legalized translation, we can help with this. Otherwise, we recommend that you inquire with the recipient, who knows exactly what they need from you.
What does an authorized translation cost?
When you order an authorized translation from Diction, you are guaranteed the sharpest price on the market. If you wish to receive a non-binding offer for an authorized translation, we need to see the text first. We recommend that you send us your documents via our contact form, after which we will send you a non-binding offer. Documents are only received electronically.

Confidentiality in authorized translation
All our authorized translators are subject to a duty of confidentiality, and all documents you send to Diction will be deleted if you do not order an authorized translation from us.
Delivery time for authorized translations
The delivery time for authorized translations varies depending on the amount of text and the complexity of the text. Normally, an average order takes 1-5 business days, from the task is started, until you receive a PDF scan of the translated document. If you need the translation faster than the estimated delivery time, please let us know.
Send your document online and receive an offer within three business days
From the time you have sent your document, it takes up to three business days before we have an offer ready for you (often we get back to you sooner). Prices are not provided over the phone without us having seen your document. We need to see your document before we can give you a final price for your translation. If you do not wish to order after all, we will delete your documents from our server.
Delivery time for translations is typically 1 to 2 weeks
The delivery time for an authorized translation of one to two pages is typically between 1 to 2 weeks before you have it physically with you. We offer to send a scan of the translation immediately after the translation is completed (typically after a few business days). Our translator team typically needs to complete another translation before your translation begins.
