Our Story

Martin Boberg (CEO) & Frederik Andersen found the translation agency Diction in 2010. Diction is the first translation agency in Denmark that consists of language students. The team is given office space at Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship.
Strategic partnership established with Memsource, the renowned translation technology company. Martin Boberg becomes CEO after co-founder Frederik Andersen continues his entrepreneurial journey.
Diction ApS is established as a company and moves to Strøget in Copenhagen. Diction now only uses graduated academics as translators. 1+ million DKK annual revenue + 400 customers.
Diction hires Swedish and Norwegian employees and begins to focus on customers across Scandinavia. +1,000 annual projects + 5 million words translated per year.
Martin Boberg (CEO) goes full-time at Diction. Diction serves +1,000 customers annually, and the limited company Diction AS is established in Norway.
Diction receives the prestigious Danish Børsen Gazelle award. Diction opens new office in Arne Jacobsen's iconic building at Gammeltorv, Copenhagen. Annually +2,600 translation projects, and the limited company Sweden AB is established.
Diction receives another Børsen Gazelle award. Diction establishes its first subsidiary Legalisering.dk and opens office in Kødbyen, Copenhagen. Annual revenue of over 10+ million DKK excluding VAT. Diction expands its Norwegian market with Autorisering.no. Diction reaches 11 office employees.
Diction is awarded the largest public framework agreement in the EU in January 2021 worth 700,000 EUR and becomes sole supplier to three Danish ministries and 21 agencies. Award of another framework agreement from the Financial Supervisory Authority worth approximately 400,000 EUR. Diction launches Auktorisering.se in the Swedish market.
Diction's ambition is to be the leading translation specialists in Scandinavia. We expect significant technological development in machine translations and increased demand for specialized translators.
Diction predicts that relatively advanced translation technology will now be available to the public through digital media. Continued digitalization and internationalization will lead to an increasing amount of text online and increased demand for professional translations.
